At the top of the news - we told you that the so called 7 Sicario being held by Corozal police - may not be sicarios at all - or at least police have gotten no confirmation of this from their Mexican counterparts. In fact, evidence so far suggests they entered Belize illegally to seek work.
Well, one man says differently.
Today, we got a call from Cecil Martinez who was held hostage by the cartel in Sonora, Mexico in early June. As he told us last month - he was only freed after his family paid a ransom.
And now, he's absolutely certain that one of the 7 so called sicarios was his captor - after seeing his passport picture on the news. Martinez - who is currently in the US seeking asylum - spoke to us from there - and told us why he's so sure the Mexican listed as Javier Montaño Martinez is one of the men who held him in the Sonora desert.
Cecil Martinez
"Mein I laughed, but I have cold seed all over me. This guy I know its him. Even the kids remembered his face. Its them who brought the attention to it, because with these crazy shifts I am really not on the phone like that, but that is the player."
Jules Vasquez
"But you sure that is the face of the person you've seen before?"

Cecil Martinez
"Mein Jules, that whole ordeal I will take that to the grave. I would never ever forget none of those players faces."
Jules Vasquez
"So, what was your interaction or experience with him?"
Cecil Martinez
"Well, he was the one that when they took us behind the mountain, he was the one writing down names and asking where you from. He was the one retrieving all the phones, all the valuables, the passports and everything."
Jules Vasquez
"Supposedly he is an assassin or a sicario for the cartel, but you met him in another portion of Mexico, supposedly he is working for the cartel in Chetumal and you met him in another part in Mexico and when you met him, he would be doing what would be the criminal equivalent of clerical work. He wasn't working like no sicario when you met him in Sonora."
Cecil Martinez
"Well I wouldn't know exactly how and I don't want to know for their illicit organization situated, who do this or who responsible to do whatever illegal acts or whatever criminal acts. I mean I am sure that its him. Mein that's a face I will never ever forget."
"I am sure. I am more than a trillion percent sure that's it. I will never ever forget that face and these players move all around and they are free to go anywhere they want in Mexico, because they are protected by both the criminal elements and on the authorities side."
Jules Vasquez
"They didn't give you any sense of relief to see that he has at least been detained?"
Cecil Martinez
"Hell yes. I mean when I saw, I still have cold seed. I hope that something be done to that said individual, because of what he and his counterparts did to me in Mexico."
Martinez said he has forwarded the image of the passport to the FBI.
