Last night, we told you about two elderly men who were stabbed in their midsection over the weekend at a cricket match in Lemonal. The men, 64-year-old Tony Anthony and 63-year-old Russel Anthony, survived the attack, and today, a police superintendent's son was charged for the crime.
23-year-old Dwayne Sutherland Jr, a relative of the victims, was in court unrepresented where he was arraigned on two counts of attempted murder, two counts of use of deadly means of harm, one count of threatening behavior, and one of wounding on the elder Anthony.
According to police reports, Sutherland had gotten into an altercation with the elderly men and stabbed them on Saturday night.
Due to the nature of the offenses, he was denied bail and Sutherland was remanded into custody until October 31st.
