Tonight, two men have been charged for the ultra-violent murder of businessman Orel Leslie. They are Eldon Flowers and Kareem Franklin. Both were charged last week for possession of a loaded firearm which is believed to be the murder weapon in the Leslie killing. They were caught with it on a stolen motorcycle shortly after the murder.
This is footage of the pair as they left court today - under heavy GI3 escort.
They were charged for Leslie's murder and remanded, but also charged for the theft of a security guard's motorcycle. That's what they were traveling on when police found them with the firearm shortly after the murder.
Both men are linked with a gang known to be a rival of the one Leslie was associated with. His killers fired more than 50 shots at the vehicle he was traveling in when they ambushed him on Yabra road.
For Eldon Flowers, it is not his first murder charge. In April of this year, he walked from the November 2019 shooting/ murder of Richard O'Neil.
