And things could have escalated to a much more dangerous degree if cops didn't bust 37-year-old Leroy Ramsey with a firearm during the Carnival Road March. He was caught with a loaded 9mm pistol containing 5 rounds near Vernon Street after a concerned resident alerted police that a man was seen with a gun in a bag. Police matched the description to Ramsey, who was dancing behind a truck, and searched him, discovering the firearm.

Ramsey was arraigned in court today on one count of kept unlicensed firearm and one count of kept unlicensed ammunition. He pleaded not guilty but due to the nature of the offense, bail was denied and he was remanded into custody until November 13th.
