Just as the Carnival road march came to an end, all hell broke loose on Baymen Avenue as pint bottles whizzed through the air, back and forth between a rowdy and drunk crowd. No one knows what started the brawl among spectators and party goers, but ACP Hilberto Romero says that there are several fights linked to each other within the area at that time that the department is analyzing.

ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern Division
"There were a couple of fights during the Carnival and we are reviewing video footage and where these persons are identified, we will proceed to arrest them and charge them for disorderly conduct. So that is an investigation that is ongoing at this time."

Reporter
"Did they make any reports to police about being injured. We saw bottles being thrown."

ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern Division
"Like I say there were several incidents, so we are looking at all of them and where persons are identified, they will be dealt with."

And does the Brawl on Baymen spark concern for the department with the upcoming 21st of September Celebrations? Romero says that they aren't worried and will simply need to increase their police presence out on the road at the next event.

ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern Division
"We will have additional personnel for the 21st parade. And so we will have more numbers on the grounds and we will police it accordingly."
