Jumping Up At J’ouvert

Earlier in the news, you heard about the commotion at Carnival, but about 9 hours before that, the J'ouvert went off without any violence, which is exactly what those mud loving revelers hoped for. The annual pre-carnival march kicked off after 4:00 on Saturday morning and continued as the sun slowly rose to the sounds of soca on the streets. And for the Carnival Road March itself, the senior band that placed first was Soca Moca, followed by Belizean Jewels, and then Mother Nature Creation.
