Explosive Found In Salvapan Cemetery

There is concern in the community of Salvapan tonight after a grenade was found in the cemetery. It was found on Saturday afternoon when police searched inside the cemetery on Nicaragua Street at around 4:15. They found a yellow plastic bag containing a foam plate with the grenade encapsulated inside.

The BDF bomb expert was called and he determined that it was a live British-manufactured K400 fragmentation hand grenade. It was taken to the Belize Defense Force Military base while authorities continue their investigations.
