So the PUP has vetted its candidates, and while they still are not making it official that Mayor Wagner will be endorsed, we could kind of see the writing on the wall today.
We asked the PM about his young, would-be challenger, Allan Pollard:
Jules Vasquez
"What advice would you give Alan Pollard if he would ask you? You started out in the Town Boards as well. What advice would you give him about thinking long term or as opposed to thinking short term?"
John Briceno, Prime Minister
"Why are you reminding me about my age? But yes, I was 32 years old back then. Alan Pollard is what, 27, 28 years old? I think that Alan has tremendous, he has a very bright future and tremendous talent and a very sincere young man that really wants to do a difference in his community, particularly the southside of Belize city."
"He's a shining example of a young person that if you determine, you could make things happen."
