The body of an unidentified male person was found floating near the Corozal shoreline this morning, just a stone's throw away from the Thunderbolt Dock on the Northside. The individual has not yet been identified, but residents suspect that the individual may have been heavily intoxicated when he entered the water and swam out into the deep:

"Well what I saw was a body floating in the water. It was out in the deep and when it started getting closer to the bank we noticed what it was but this had happened close to 9 or 10 in the night when we noticed the man. From what we heard he went out swimming and he couldn't come back in, and that's how he drowned. In the morning we noticed his body was stiff floating in the water. And when they found him he was already dead, he couldn't hold out."

"He is a Belizean he is a local, but it seems that he was under the influence and the same liquor and exhaustion killed the poor guy. He didn't have any injuries or anything when he went in to swim. His body was still intact when we saw him."
