And in other law enforcement news...

In early September, we told you that a video was circulating purportedly showing an Immigration Officer using cocaine. A statement from her attorney was issued saying that the video was, quote, "not recent and fails to expose the true circumstances of the event on the date of the video."

The statement also explained that the officer had made complaints of dishonest acts against the persons who supposedly released the video.

This also happens to be the officer accused of unlawfully taking money from a man from Sierra Leone.

Today, we asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration for an update on the situation, he said that the case is in the hands of the public service.

Eamon Courtenay, Minister of Foreign Affairs
"Obviously I have stayed completely out of that. That is a matter for the Public Services Commission. I believe that the reports have been laid before them and it's a matter that that process has to unfold."

"It's being investigated and there is disciplinary proceedings that are to be taking place and that's as best as I can say. There will be no political interference either way in that matter. As I said before, what I saw was unacceptable to me but it's for the Public Service Commission to deal with that."

Reporter
"Sir, I believe she is saying that that there's an attack on her because she was about to disclose improprieties I guess within the department."

Eamon Courtenay, Minister of Foreign Affairs
"Right. If that is so then she should disclose it. She should disclose it to me or anybody else."

"There is no connection between disclosing and what I saw in that video. If she sees irregularities she should share it with the police or share it with me and I will share it with the police."
