The circumstances leading up to the death of 31 year old Oswaldo Vasquez still remains a mystery, after he disappeared on Saturday night, and allegedly ran off into the bushes near the BSI factory in Orange Walk. After three days of searching his badly decomposed body was found floating in the new river.
But what caused his death? And was it foul play?
The family hoped that the post mortem would have given them some clarity but after the examination was conducted, the results were inconclusive. It concluded that "The cause of death is undetermined due to bloating state of post mortem decomposition and aquatic predator activity pending toxicology"
That refers to a crocodile which is believed to have attacked the body.
