Today we spoke with the Coast Guard's commander, Admiral Elton Bennett who told us that the police is in the process of pressing charges against the officer, and from there they will determine their next move in terms of disciplinary measures.

"Yes I've seen the video and I am aware that he should be charged today. Once he is charged, then more than likely he would go on interdiction, go through the internal disciplinary process that would mirror a criminal investigation."
"If he is found guilty, then he is dismissed from the service as he would from any other government employment. If he is found not guilty of the offense, then the internal investigation would determine the extent of the application of discipline."
