Tonight a man is in police custody after being charged with sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl.
45-year-old Josue Sic was reportedly at a friend's house this past Sunday when the man left to buy food and asked him to keep an eye on his three daughters. When the friend returned, he found Sic on the floor next to the 5 year old's bed. His daughter's underwear had been removed and a sticky substance was on her leg.
The man called the police and Sic was arrested and charged. He reportedly told police that he was trying to change the little girl.
In court, he appeared unrepresented in front of the Chief Magistrate, who granted him bail of $3,000 plus one surety of the same amount. Since he was unable to meet bail, he remains in custody.
