And if you're still not in the Christmas spirit quite yet, maybe a Christmas play at the Bliss might speed things along. The children from the Bliss institutes's summer art programme will be putting on a show titled "Di Nite Befo Krismus" a Belizean adaptation with two featured guests. Jomarie Lanza stopped by during rehearsals today and here's what she saw:
The Bliss has put a twist on the Night Before Christmas play. Today a handful of children were rehearsing for the upcoming show, Di Nite Befo Krismus, A Belizean version of the adaptation. Director for the Institute of Creative Arts, Kim Vasquez told us more today.
Kim Vasquez, Director of Institute of Creative Arts
"So starting back in October we had a very successful children's theater experience here we had the nightmare before Christmas. It received really good feedback from the public. Of course, it was also a training exercise for technical engineers from the theater department and so we decided to give it a try again with something this time for Christmas so the public can look forward to all the lights and the sounds and the props and the special effects all the magic of theater and we are bringing to life the night before Christmas the creole version."

"So what's special about this creole version?"

Kim Vasquez, Director of Institute of Creative Arts
"What's special about this creole version is that we have a cast and a crew. That the cast is made up of our primarily of our summer arts students. The public may know that every year we host a theater arts camp here at the Bliss and we have a couple of older children that have grown up in the camp past through the camp and are still involved in the performing arts and we also have some that are still engaged. Every year the common they get their training in dance, music and theater. and we also have Ozzy who is a good friend to us here at the Bliss he will be playing Santa and we are also pleased to have chairmaine as well who is our lead actress and our story teller who will be bringing the story to loft and everything on here the rest of it is by the staff of ICA and the bliss."
We also got to speak with some of the kids who shared a bit about the characters that they are playing

The show also features a popular Belizean figure, Ozzy the clown is also trying his hand at acting, and gets to play Santa Claus in this story.
