Also in court today,32 year old Charles Martinez, a father of three was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Martinez was found guilty of the rape of a 9 year old child on November 15th.
A witness testified to the courts that she had left the child with her other siblings and went to take a shower, and Martinez dragged the child out from the living room into another bathroom and forced her to perform oral sex on him.
He threatened the child not to tell anyone, but the witness had caught him in the act.
Martinez appeared before Justice Ricardo O'Neil Sandcroft today who sentenced him to 20 years in prison, and he will not qualify for parole until serving 15 years. Martinez pleaded to the court that he is an innocent man, however Justice Sandcroft informed him that further evidence they obtained suggested that he violated the child more than once.
Martinez shouted howls of protest against the court as they put him in the prison van.
