Tonight, a wanted man from Hattieville is in the KHMH. Blake Lewis was injured in a wild shootout with Hattieville police last night. Here's what happened: around 10:20pm, the detective at the Hattieville CIB office saw a man walking on the street in front of his house with a gun in his hand. It turned out to be Blake Lewis - a man wanted for the October double murder of Joel Andrews and his work man, Martin Sho.
The commissioner picks up the story from there:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Again, you would know that for some time now we have been looking for Kenyon Lewis, not Kenyon, Blake Lewis. And again, Blake Lewis is wanted in respect of two incidents, the double murder that took place in the back of Hattieville and a recent shooting where a male person was shot and survived."

"And since then he has been eluding the police. We tried to work as best as we can to do OPs and surveillance and these sort of things to capture him. But he has always been able to stay one step ahead of the police."
"But last night the GI3 committed themselves to conducting surveillance and going into the area and do certain work. And the work that they did last night was able to flush out Blake Lewis. He was spotted by the team riding a motorcycle and he practically rode into the police vehicle and fell off the motorcycle and then he ran."
"The police pursued him and he managed to escape from them. A couple minutes later he was encountered by a police officer from Hattieville CIB and upon seeing the police he fired two shots at the police. The police returned fire and he dropped his weapon and ran."
"Again he was able to escape. We found the weapon that he had. It was picked up and processed by scenes of crime and will be sent to the lab. Today the GI3 and CIB went back into the area again very determined to try and locate him because we knew that he was injured following the fall and so they went back into the area and across the river they were able to encounter him."
"So he's now in custody. I'm happy to say that the people of Hattieville will be able to sleep with some semblance of peace because believe you me the people in that area are not contented at night when he was out there because they know his capabilities."
"We're hoping that hopefully over the weekend the police will be able to levy charges against him for the double murder as well as the other shooting that he was wanted for."
Lewis remains hospitalized pending charges.
