Just after 2:00 AM this morning police were called to a roadside bar on the Hummingbird Highway near mile 32 where a fatal chopping had taken place inside La Rumba Restaurant and bar.
They found 40 year old Luis Seapas lying face up in a pool of blood with chop wounds to the left side of his face.
According to the owner, Seapas had arrived at the bar just after midnight, when three other men entered and things escalated from there.
Seapas told the men that he did not want any trouble. They alleged that he had been charged for a rape case involving one of their family members.
One of the men then took out a machete and began to swing it at Seapas, inflicting fatal chop wounds onto him. His body was taken to the Western Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police are still in search of suspect.
