Yesterday we gave you the compol's take on the Aaron Wilson incident, where a business owner was charged with boisterous behavior for confronting a cop inside the Ladyville police station after she hung up the phone on him.

Wilson recorded the exchange and circulated the video upon his release.

The compol said that what he saw does not amount to boisterous behavior, which seems to be saying the PC should not have charged him.

Well the Police Association didn't like that one bit and made a statement today stating, quote, "despite the fact that the investigation is ongoing and that the footage may not provide a complete picture of the incident, the commissioner took it upon himself to publicly condemn the female police officer through media statements.. As a learned attorney and the Commissioner of Police, we expect better from you. It is incumbent upon you to exercise discretion and sound judgment in dealing with such matters, ensuring that the principles of natural justice are upheld and that all individuals are treated with fairness and respect."

We note that the commissioner doesn't seem to like this public upbraiding and has summoned them to a meeting tomorrow.
