Shot By Cops Then Charged For Murder, Jaylen Goes From Hospital To Prison

An 18 year old has been charged for the murder of 25 year old Coast Guard officer, Charles James.

He is Jaylon Jones - the suspect who police shot in the ankle while he was fleeing the murder scene on Thursday night. He's seen here going to court today - drinking water with the injury on his ankle bandaged. He was taken to court directly form the hospital. Police say he also fired on them - but so far have not been able to recover the weapon.

In court he told the Senior Magistrate that he was wrongfully accused. He was remanded without bail.

The gunman shot James inside an apartment with a 26 year old woman and her two children. The commissioner said the motive for the murder was jealousy over the woman.
