Today, two killers - a man and a woman - were convicted in the High Court.
The first is 20 year old Kriston Francis who pleaded guilty to the murder of Adrian Pook.
The attack happened in April of 2023 - when the 29 year old Pook was fatally shot outside his yard. Francis was caught on the scene by Pook's father - an ex-cop - who wrestled him to the ground and took his gun.
Today, in pleading guilty Francis hoped to get a reduced sentence for murder. Justice Derick Sylvester has ordered a psychiatric Evaluation, social inquiry report, and victim impact statement before he can sentence Francis on July 16th.
His Attorney Arthur Saldivar urged upon the court to take into consideration the fact that his client expressed remorse for his action and that he is waiting for the opportunity to apologize to the parents of the deceased.
