A concrete house on Santa Maria Street In the Santa Elena area caught on fire late last night. No lives were lost but the property damage was significant - and nothing inside the home could be salvaged. We learned more from the owner - who was at home when the blaze broke out.
Theodore Lennan Jr., Fire Victim
"I know about the fire because when I went through my back door the fire had woken me up. So I went for a key because the front door was locked. When I went for the key and went in I got the rubber hose and tried to put the fire because only by the window and curtain was burning."
"I don't know what it could be I don't think about nothing I tried to think about everything I could think about and I can't say nothing that I think anyone would have a problem with or if I have a problem with anybody or anything because I don't mess with nobody."
