The road through Burrell Boom - its repair is being coordinated, contracted and funded by the BTB - and last night you heard the Chief Engineer at the Ministry of Infrastructure say, quote, "the works were not done to high standard."
This declaration, of course, happens to come just days after the Minister of Infrastructure and Tourism had a surly face off and proper "cussing out" at a PUP National Executive meeting.
And tonight the BTB - or at least its sympathizers - are modestly pushing back on our story.
Their reports say that they do have an MIDH supervisor - and while the Minister expressed reservations - those were addressed. They say the chip and seal is clean, not contaminated, and that the damaged culverts were replaced.
And so why is the BTB building a road In the first place? Well, it connects to the Community Baboon Sanctuary and complaints were made about the 1.2 mile stretch of road through the village that connects to the Sanctuary.
