In other police news….last week we told you about the major drug bust that had happened in Dangriga where a quarter ton of marijuana was discovered stowed in barrels. The commissioner of police shared more details with us today.

"Police again acting on information and visited a house in the monument site area of Dangriga town upon arrival they conducted a search and that led to the discovery of a number of containers. Those containers further contained green, leafy vegetable substance suspected to be that of cannabis police took possession of the items found a search of the area led to the detention of one person, and a further search led to the detention of two other persons and the search of a home Led to the discovery of some crack cocaine. Based on that police arrested in charge all three people for the drugs that was found at the house which amount to just over 500 pounds and I think just over 100 g of crack cocaine."
"You wouldn't normally find marijuana leaving the country. Marijuana normally comes into the country for a consumption within the country so we believe that the drugs were to be distributed domestically for domestic use."
