"What's next for Ryan Melendez?"

David McKoy, Attorney
"Well, what is next is that we have already informed the AG Ministry that we intend to take action for what the nation saw in relation to the heinous act that was committed by the police officer."
"So we have informed them. And then the next step would be for the commission of police to be served with a notice as well of the deformation claim that we will take the court. Because we cannot countenance that type of behavior."
Jules Vasquez
"He is somebody doubly victimized by the department. What are you seeking in advancing for him to get his restitution for these violations?"
David McKoy, Attorney
"Well, we're seeking if the commission of police is willing to give an apology and make some sort of compromise, then the matter will be dealt with there."
"But if it is that he's not willing to, then we'll have to, like I said, exhaust the remedy of the court. And I'm sure that what has transpired over the past month in terms of being called a fugitive or so is very damaging to his reputation."
"And I can imagine anybody would want to be called a fugitive when they have gone to the police station and literally turned themselves in and wanted to be told that there is no charges for them."
