And if you've been seeing McKoy a lot on the news recently, it's because the former Inspector of Police who is a trained attorney has been representing multiple victims of police brutality - form Ryan Melendez in San Pedro to Juan Vasquez and Omar Matus in Belmopan.
The former cop says he sees a worrying pattern of behaviors and blamed it on the top cop - who he says has to go:

"I am of the view that the commission of police, he has a lot of support within the department and he has done a good job. But I think that there's a time now for a new change in terms of leadership, because at the end of the day, this is the third instance and there are many more."
"How much do this nation has to endure before they say, well, you know what, we need a different voice, a different person who is at the top to give the instructions, the information that is necessary for the police officer to do their job."
"And what the nation is seeing is constant accusations of police officers causing unwarrantable force on members of society. That cannot be countenance in any society that we have police officers continuously beating and beating and beating."
