Man Claims Cops Brutalized Him, Cops Show That Matus Kicked Constable Out Of Truck

Last night you heard about Omar Matus, the UB student who was badly beaten by Belmopan police after a fender bender. Well, today the Commissioner contacted us to share the second side to the story. He showed us bodycam video which shows a police officer falling out of the pan of a mobile. The pickup immediately stopped so as not to run him over. The commissioner says that it's Matus who kicked him out of the truck. Another police mobile responded and while they were trying to restrain Matus in the back of the pickup he kicked at officers again.

The commissioner also noted that Matus has a history of traffic accidents where he has refused to have a sample taken.
