There was a brazen daylight robbery at the Central Farm Administration Building on Tuesday afternoon. At approximately 12:54 p.m., three female employees, a Clerk, a Secretary, and a Janitor were in the kitchen area of the administration building when they were confronted by two armed men. One of the robbers, wearing a fluorescent green traffic vest, and a black helmet, entered the kitchen, pulled out a 9mm pistol, and ordered the women to get on the floor, declaring, "It's a robbery." The second suspect, also wearing a black helmet, was similarly armed and pointed his weapon at the other two employees. The assailants forced the women into the post office area of the building, where the safe is located. At gunpoint, the clerk opened the safe, revealing cash stored for the Belize Post Office and the Ministry of Agriculture. The suspects took $155 in cash belonging to the post office, $16,046.60 from cattle sales for the Ministry of Agriculture, and three cell phones: The robbers fled the scene on a motorcycle, heading in the direction of Georgeville Village. No arrests have been made so far.
