Tonight, Evan "Sweet Buay" Caine is a free man - after spending the last 6 days on remand pending sentencing for three aggravated assault of a traffic officer.

Today when he got into court, Caine was facing 3 years in jail but after apologizing to Traffic Officer, Kenrick Deshield the Magistrate decided to - as they say - temper justice with mercy.

She imposed a non-custodial sentence instead of jail time after Caine told Deshield in open court, quote, "I am sorry I interrupted you while you were doing your duties. I understand I made an error. It won't happen again."

The Magistrate looked at several other factors including the fact that Cain went to prison for almost a week and that he was a first time offender.

Cain was fined $1,300 which he was given until March 2025 to pay, in default, serve 1 year in prison.
