And there's other transport news. In late May an internal audit at the Spanish Lookout transport branch revealed that at least $80,000 was misappropriated from the department. CEO Williams had filed for a criminal and internal investigation at the branch, but since then no arrests have been made. We got an update today:

Chester Williams, CEO in the Ministry of Transport

"We met with the Director of Public Prosecutions about two weeks ago and the DPP is still waiting for the police to submit the file to her. It had gone to the DPP and it was sent back to the police for further directives to be complied with. I am not sure if by now the police have sent the file back to the DPP but that is what the DPP was waiting for. In addition to that I have just yesterday submitted to the Public Service the file asking that action be taken against the officer concerned."
