Police Ministry Received 1,000 Cameras, But Where Are They?

If you take a walk around the city you'll spot at least one of these CCTV cameras that were donated in April as part of CABEI's Belize Integral Security Programme. The BPD received one thousand of them, but today the minister he told us that not all of them have been installed yet. He explained why.

"The cameras have aided but I need to make the point that the installation is an ongoing process it is approximately 1000 CCTV cameras and the uploading of all of these cameras will not conclude until around September of this year and so a lot of them might physically be up but they are not operational or hooked up as yet to the command centre."
