Two broad daylight robberies committed on men on motorcycle were caught on camera today. The first took place on Vernon Street around 1:00 this afternoon and a witness sitting inside a vehicle pulled out his phone to record the incident. The video shows a man who stopped at the traffic lights standing outside his vehicle with his hands in the air as one of the robbers enters his vehicle. He grabs a bag with a box inside and jumps back on the motorcycle, where another man is waiting. They then flee the scene. Reports are however, that there was no money in the box, just a pair of shoes.
The second robbery occurred in Belmopan. Again, a motorcycle with two men stops next to a Caribbean Chicken truck. One of the men gets off the motorcycle, enters the truck and grabs a bag. He then runs into a yard and robs a man. A shot is heard being fired as the robber runs back to the motorcycle. Again, the two men flee the scene.
Police are investigating both incidents.
