He's a former Mayor of Benque Viejo, a former Ambassador to Cuba and is the brother of the current UDP area rep of Cayo West. But tonight Said Badi Guerra is facing charges for the alleged rape of a male minor in Cayo.
Guerra who is now working at a local high school in Cayo reportedly shared some drinks with the young man and then took him to his home where - it is alleged - he raped the minor.
The teenager reportedly suffered injuries and told his mother which is what led to a complaint being made.
Guerra was detained pending charges - and we are told he will be arraigned tomorrow.
The 50 year old was elected as Benque's UDP Mayor in 2002 and then appointed Ambassador to Cuba in 2008. He was also the former chief of protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
