Last night we told you all about the ongoing legal dispute between activist Jerry Enriquez and his attorney Anand Ramlogan who have accused High Court Judge Tawanda Hondora of judicial misconduct and bias.

The Court of Appeal has lifted a gag order that Hondora had imposed on Enriquez and tonight he's talking about the high court judge and the Judicial and Legal Service Commission - to which he made a complaint about the alleged misconduct back in May.

He says - other than an acknowledgement - they have gotten no response:

Jerry Enriquez, Complains of Judicial Bias:
"After we filed our complaint we expected in good faith that the Judicial and Legal Services Commission would launch an investigation of the misconduct of the judge in the courts. And following their investigation, they would make a decision as to how to move forward. But that did not happen. And that is why we took that matter to court. And while it did not happen, Justice Hondora continued to issue orders without hearing, for us to comply, including a gag order. We found that as a total breach of the process."

"But were you taken aback at the tone of those 20 orders that he gave you? Of course it was very detailed to find out who gave authority for the recordings of all of those details, but I saw through it as an attempt to intimidate. As soon as I saw it, I said, there's something wrong with this order."

"My reaction when I saw the gag order was, total, I kind of, I was stunned that the justice would go to the level seeing that we had complained to the Judicial and Legal Services Commission. And for him to go ahead, place the gag order while our complaint is, has still not been investigated. So I was, first, surprised. I was, in that sense, very, disappointed."

"Do you feel vindicated by his accepting that he did speak to a judge about a precedent raised within this case? Well, certainly, I felt vindicated by his admission that he did speak with a judge."
