1 man was killed and four others- including a minor - were injured in a multiple shooting in Lords Bank last night. Tonight police have a suspect and a motive. Jomarie Lanza has more on this story with the commissioner of police.

5 males ages 14-21 were standing in this yard in Lords Bank last night when they came under fire from two men on motorcycle.

Dr Richard Rosado, Commissioner of Police:
"On July the 29th about 9:20 pm police responded to a shooting incident in the Lords Bank area, five individuals received gunshot injuries. Our initial investigation revealed that 5 individuals were socialising in a yard in Lords Bank area when a motorcycle with two individuals approached them and the passenger opened fire at them injuring 5 of them, one of the individuals later succumbed to his injuries. We have one person in custody and we are looking for 2 other persons of interest."

All five were rushed to the hospital but 21-year-old Justin Animo succumbed to his injuries at the KHMH. Compol Rosado says he was the one being targeted.

Dr Richard Rosado, Commissioner of Police:
"From our information we believe that one of the individuals there was the target ho succumbed to his injuries."

"From the information that we have gathered it was a small Caliber fire arm that was used."

So why would anyone fire indiscriminately at a group like that? Rosado says it's a dispute of a domestic nature.

Dr Richard Rosado, Commissioner of Police:
"We are practically looking at several different theories and one of the theories is domestic related I won't want to go further into that."

"We have definitely ruled out that they are not associated or a member of any criminal group and they have never been detained or arrested by police."

"No we have not recovered the firearm as yet but we have one person of interest that has been detained and we are looking for two others."

"This incident that happened last night is totally unrelated and we are looking at the angel of more being domestic related."

We note that this is the second incident in two weeks where 5 men were shot. Rosado says the incidents are unrelated and he insists not indicative of a new mode of massive attack for criminals.
