Customs Guard Charged for Drug Trafficking

In July we told you about the 133 pounds of high grade marijuana intercepted at a customs checkpoint near the northern border.

70 year old Eric Duheney was charged, but it turns out he had a passenger - who dipped out just before the checkpoint.

Well, after weeks of intensive investigation, customs guard 50 year old Shaka Jones from Halls Layout, Corozal District for the offence of drug trafficking. Jones was arraigned in Corozal on Friday where he pleaded not guilty. Based on the nature of the offence he was remanded.
