Three men accused of robbing a tourist of an iPhone 16 in broad daylight in the Kings' Park area are out on bail tonight.
It happened Around at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday October 18 near Lopez Mateos Park on E Street when 50-year-old American national Michael Coulompe, from Los Angeles was walking when two men jumped out of a silver SUV.
According to Coulompe, one of the men - wearing a mask - pulled out a pocket knife and demanded that he hand over his belongings. Fearing for his life, Coulompe surrendered his iPhone 16 Pro Max, valued at $1,200 USD, along with his wallet containing cash in both U.S. and Belizean currency. The assailants then got back into the SUV and sped off through 18th Street, escaping the scene.

In court today, all three men pleaded not guilty to the charge. The prosecution raised no objection to bail, and Magistrate Dennison granted them bail of $6,000 dollars each.
The men met bail by 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. Their next court appearance is set for November 27, 2025.
