On Friday we told you about a 4 year old boy who drowned in his 82 year old grandfather's well. According to police, neighbors had to assist by diving into the well to pull the boy's body out. But will anyone be charged for his death? Here's what ACP Hilberto Romero said.

"Upon their arrival Sylvester Alcoser reported that he was taking care of his 5 year old grandson when he noticed that he was not in the yard. He made checks in the area and he saw a pair of slippers inside a well. He immediately alerted his neighbors and they began searching and could not find the child. Thereafter some divers from other villages came to assist and the body of the child was recovered inside the well. We are waiting a post mortem examination at this time."

"Can anybody be charged for neglect or...?"

"A file will be compiled, different statements will be record, interview conducted, and the file will be forwarded to the DPP for directives."
4 Year Old's Family Remembers Finding Rigel In The Well
And while police can't say if there will be any neglect charges - as the family explained it on Friday - they realized that 4 year old Rigel Triminius was missing and went into a mad scramble to find him:

And, keeping it in the Corozal District, we have an update on the man who was murdered in broad daylight on Friday in the. Finca Solana area of the town. Today the police told us that the incident may have been drug related and they are currently seeking known suspects.

"Investigation revealed that Vellos was heading towards his vehicle when he was approached by two male persons, one who pulled out a firearm and fired several shot towards his direction, causing his fatal injuries. We are seeking three suspects in regards to this murder."

"That is the information we received, it is drug related."

Two More Fatal Motorcycle RTAs

Two more men on motorcycles lost their lives on Saturday in separate incidents. The first occurred in Cayo and took the life of Gerson Fuyub. By the time the police arrived at La Loma Luz hospital, he'd already passed away. ACP Romero told us more.

"Information is that Fuyub was riding his motorcycle when he lost control and he hit a cement structure in the area. He was taken for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries."

"Do police know if he was intoxicated?"

"We do not know at this time, after the postmortem a blood sample will be obtained and tests will be done."

"Was he wearing a helmet?"

"I cannot say if he was wearing a helmet."
"Then again on Saturday police responded to another accident on the Hummingbird Highway, between miles 48 and 49. Upon the arrival they saw again a motorcycle with damages. A male person was seen in the are unconscious, he was identified as Jorge Gonzalez. He was taken for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigation revealed that Gonzalez was riding his motorcycle when he lost control. He fell to the street and that is what caused his injuries."
UNO Robbers Lay In Wait For Manager With Money Bag

Last Friday afternoon, the manager of UNO gas station on the Philip Goldson Highway was robbed, reportedly of $50,000 dollars. Police are still looking for the perpetrators but ACP Romero explained that the two men were on a motorcycle waiting for the manager to exit the building.

"Upon arrival, the complainant, Eric Chi, the manager reported that he was going towards his vehicle to make deposit when he was approached by a male person who pulled out a firearm and he was held up. He was then thrown to the floor, another male person approached who was on a motorcycle. They both robbed him of a large quantity of cash, thereafter the got on the motorcycle and drove off. we are seeking two suspects in regard to this robbery."

"Were they waiting him out? Did they know he had money?"

"Yes, we have information that they were at a parking lot beside the gas station waiting and when this manager came out, he was attacked."

"Is there any notion that it might have been an inside job?"

"We are looking at that but at this time we have not gathered any evidence to charge anyone."

"Yes there are cameras in that area."
