4 Arrested For Child Prostitution

And, the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Unit (ATIP) of the Belize Police Department has formally arrested and charged four persons with facilitating the child prostitution of a female minor. Those 4 persons, Oscar Diaz, Maria Arias, and Ramona Cucul and Gloria Rodriguez, who is a Guatemalan, were arraigned at the Independence Magistrate Court and released on bail of $6,000 plus one surety. The case was adjourned for February 11, 2026. The department strongly encourages the public to report suspects or persons engaging in human trafficking to the ATIP Unit at 822-2083.
