And so while the Ministry of Home Affairs is desperately seeking a CEO, Mira is fine with the current Commissioner of Police, Dr. Richard Rosado. He gave us his first impressions today:

"We were working very well. I've had one meeting with him already. And, he has brief me on, on on the strategy that they have to to fight crime in the country. And, we were looking at, working. I'm looking forward to working together with the commissioner of police. There are many programs and there are many things that we need to to change."
"I, I know it is a dynamic. Ministry and, things change a lot. We are looking to to making sure that we deliver for the Belizean people in bringing down crime and bringing down the murder statistics of this country. We will ensure that we look at the strategy that is being employed and making sure that it is the right one for our country."
