Commissioner of Police Richard Rosado has not done an interview with 7News since August 25th - and while we hope to get one before the new year, it's not looking great.

We've seen him on other media - but he seems to still be evading one central fact about the Budna abduction: he said that no police officer walked out of the Orange Walk police station to respond to the kidnapping when the surveillance video shows that at least one did.

Indeed, this and other issues surrounding the kidnapping have eroded the Compol's credibility. 8 days ago, one of our media colleagues asked his new CEO about the burden of that diminished credibility.

Reporter
"Are you concerned that you will be working with a commissioner of police whose integrity has in fact been questioned and has led to some erosion of public trust in the department?"

Elton Bennett, CEO, Ministry of Home Affairs
"If I am concerned that I'm working with the Commissioner of Police, my concerns are in line with what the government wants to achieve and what the people of Belize expects and demand and deserves."

"I will ensure that I work with the Commissioner of Police to achieve our departmental and ministerial objectives."

We'll be trying to interview the Compol before the year ends.
