A young fisherman has been charged with a gun related offense after police found a weapon on him during one of their patrols. The incident happened on Monday on RIverside street in Belize City.
Police on mobile patrol saw 24-year-old Kyle Cadle riding a bicycle, and as they got closer to him he sped up and began to ride away. Police then saw him pull something from his waist and throw it behind a zinc fence. When police stopped to look for the item he discarded they found a black Beretta 9 mm pistol.
Police investigations led them to detain 24-year-old, Kyle Sydney Cadle, who appeared at the magistrate's court today where he was read two gun related offenses of kept unlicensed firearm and kept unlicensed ammunition. Cadle pleaded not guilty and was denied bail. He was remanded to the Belize central prison until April 16th 2026.
