And, the BNTU president also discussed the extreme secrecy surrounding the proposed acquisition - which we heard was coming from the office of the BTL Chairman. But, the union president looked at the Ashcroft alliance:

"We voted no to the acquisition because we don't have information, have you ever paid attention to history every single time brother Ashcroft is involved in something there is a non disclosure agreement, a non disclosure agreement, a non disclosure agreement? Every single time and why is that? Why do we always have to go that route. Now the Belizean people are not happy and it is our money, it is our money and we need answers."
