Man Sentenced For Ritualistic Murder At Maya Site

In 2018, 19 year old Bobby Garcia was killed at the Cahal Pech Maya temple in what appeared to be some bizarre ritual.

And now, the 15 year old minor accused of the crime - is now an adult. Pablo Garcia has been convicted and was today sentenced to 14 years in prison for the crime.

He's been on remand since 2018, so those seven and a half years have been deducted from his sentence.

Garcia's body was found inside the Cahal Pech Archaeological Reserve with cut wounds to the arm, chest, and throat. He told his parents that he was heading to a nearby park. He never returned and hours later was found at the ruin. Garcia was said to have been killed as a part of an occult ritual.
