Police are investigating a stabbing incident that left an 88-year-old farmer hospitalized on Monday. Officers responded to reports that an injured elderly man had been transported to the Northern Regional Hospital, where they visited the Emergency Ward and observed the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The injured man was identified as Gabriel Teck, 88, Belizean laborer of a farm on San Lazaro Road.

According to Teck, while at the farm where he resides and works, he was confronted by a co-worker who also lives on the property. The co-worker allegedly accused him of eating his groceries. The dispute escalated, resulting in the assailant stabbing Teck to the left side of his chest, the left arm, and behind the left arm. Despite his injuries, Teck managed to walk to the roadside, where he later collapsed. A passerby came to his aid and transported him to the NRH. An X-Ray has confirmed that Teck received a punctured lung and is presently in a stable condition. Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
