The Commissioner of Police also weighed in on the issue, saying that even though he would prefer that there was unison, there will still be police presence if the paddlers continue to the Belcan Bridge.

"Honestly I wish that the association, the organizers and everybody would work in concert so that we have one stop rather than multiple stop cause then it stretches the police officers, it stretches our man power."
