The intersection between Dean and Amara Avenue turned into a murder scene yesterday and police have begun operations to prevent the violence from escalating any further. They believe there is a possibility that the murder of 26 year old gang figure Edward Saldano Jr may lead to retaliation.
And as we took a look into our archives today, an interview we did with his mother a year ago begs the question if Saldano's days were indeed numbered.
Jomarie Lanza has this story.
Police have detained one suspect for this murder.
