Municipal elections are coming up next year, but are there reports that the UDP was looking to boot 3 time Mayor Earl Trapp? Well, we asked him today and he told us, "why fix something that is working?"
Earl Trapp, Mayor of SISE
"Yes I heard certain things but like I say, I would say to the people, everybody have a difference of opinion but at the end of the day, it's not what one or two people want, it's the majority. You know and I would say to the people, why fix something that is working. You know and the reason why I'm relaunching my candidacy is because of the many accolades that I've been receiving and the many good acknowledgements from the people and I see everything looking good at the moment but again, I remain firm focused and the works continues I from the moment I got into office, almost 12 years ago, I've been working. That has not stopped, that has not changed. Ive been working Monday to Monday so the people have seen it, the people have seen the changes in this community and I believe that the people are enjoying the developments that have come to this community."
Trapp first became the Mayor of San Ignacio/Santa Elena in 2015.
