A Tuesday tour on Marine Parade turned chaotic when 41-year-old American housewife Taunya Lee Evert rear-ended a "Calypso Train" in her Volkswagen pickup, injuring three tourists.

In court today, it was revealed Evert had been driving with insurance that expired over a month ago. Appearing with attorney Steve Perera, she pleaded guilty to using an unlicensed and uninsured vehicle, resulting in a $210 fine and an immediate one-year driving ban.

Evert pleaded not guilty to the more serious charges of negligent grievous harm and driving without due care and attention. She was granted $400 bail and must return to court on June 11.
