In our last segment you heard all about the current SOE, but despite that, there were still three murders over the weekend: they happened in the north, the south, and the city.
We start in the north, where on Mother's Day there was a murder in Trial Farm. It was around 7:38 at night when shots were fired near the basketball court, killing Roberto Wicab and injuring Adrian Chuc. Police gave us more details.
ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer
"The officers responded and we were advised that Wicab and Chuc were ferried to the hospital for medical attention. What the investigation has so far revealed that Wicab and a companion were fixing a vehicle in that location when they were accosted by male person who fired several shots and Mr Chuc was passing at that time and he too was injured."
Reports are that Wicab had stopped near the court after attending a Mother's Day event to fix his tire, which might have been deliberately slashed.
One of the persons detained is the ex-husband of Wicab's girlfriend.
