Last night we told you about the Mother's Day murder of 22 year old Roberto Wicab in Trial Farm Village.

Tonight, the partner of the deceased says that her common law's last words to her was him begging her not to let him die.

She says she was unable to see the face of the man who shot her boyfriend.

Voice of: Rita Aldana, Common Law of Deceased
"At the time that happened, I was on my phone when I heard gunshots, but I couldn't see who it was. I only saw his back, which was a blur, but I didn't see it, I didn't see his face, nothing. The only thing that was important to me was seeing my husband, and when I ran to see him, he was lying there. He was alive and he asked me for help. He said, "Love don't let me die." That was the only thing he said to me, and that's when I reacted and asked for help, that's when we ran and rushed him to the hospital, and he was still alive. He asked me for water, he spoke to me again "Don't let me die." When we put him on the hospital bed he was still alive. He was moaning and badly hurt, and all I could remember is his moans that he made in the hospital. He was fighting for his life."

"At no point did he tell me he had enemies or anything like that. It's been about five years now, and he wasn't looking for trouble. He straightened up, he changed, he changed his life a lot since he got together with me. He changed for my children because he loved them like his own. And we went out on the street as a family and nobody stopped us, nobody did anything. I mean, we were a normal family, we come and go as we please, and I'm in shock because I don't know why they did it, or if it was for him or not. I don't know why. It's a shock to me, I didn't expect it. "

Initially, her ex-common-law was detained for questioning. So far no one has been charged.
